Floral Phased

Chosen for UNT's 2017 Artwear Fashion Show (Denton, TX) Walked in FGI's 2017 Scholarship Fashion Show (Dallas, TX)

This dress accentuates femininity through fabrication, silhouette,  color, and embellishment. It features a form-fitting, drop-waist bodice with a strategically placed floral design that contours the body. This white floral design on the bodice is created by my use of laser-cutting and beadwork. The green fabric is laser cut and then a white texture treated fabric rests behind it. All fabrics are 100% silk. The chiffon skirt dips at center-front and center-back and raises on the sides to above the knee. This dress is also unique because of its crossing straps in the back that come down to attach under the bust line in the front princess seams. With all these details together, the intended customer of this dress desirers for an evening ensemble that is flirty and classic.

Irresistible Iridescent Dress

This formal knee-length dress has a modern twist with its use of darts. Diagonal lines and asymmetrical piecing create a smoothing silhouette. The stylized collar elongates the neckline, while the full hips exude volume and curve. Both are incorporated to add femininity. This dress challenges typical structure by the radiating darts on the front of the skirt. The challenge resulted in a visually stimulating and gracefully voluminous shape. Taffeta and organza are present because of their classic nature for shine and elegance. This customer can be a variety of ages and shapes. This is credited to its comfort, color, and range of motion. She is looking for a cocktail dress that is classically elegant and figure flattering.
